Junior Womans Club

Thanks for checking out the Junior Site! The 2006-2008 Junior theme is “Volunteers…Giving & Growing”. As volunteers, we often give of our time and energy, but also grow personally as we do so. Membership in Junior clubs of the GFWC-NC is comprised of young women aged 45 and younger, with those between 40 and 45 also maintaining dual membership in a General club. The Juniors of North Carolina have approximately thirty clubs statewide with almost 1,000 members. Clubs support projects and programs in their own communities, but also support statewide projects as well.

The Junior Pledge was written in 1916 by Helen Cheney Kimberly of California, and was adopted in 1930 at the GFWC Convention as the National Junior Pledge.

I pledge my loyalty to the Junior Club Women,

By doing better than ever before what work I have to do.

By being prompt, honest, courteous,

By living each day, trying to accomplish something, not merely to exist.
